What do nieghbors do in Animal crossing?

Well for starters they walk around and you can talk to them, sometimes they give you things, they tell you important things about the game, they sell you stuff once in awhile, and a whole lot of other things. They are one of my favorite parts in AC.

so, they are just a regular npc? they dont really do much?

Sort of, but they do make the game a lot more interesting! They are hilarious!

Do most of them have complex personalitys?

A couple of them do.

I like Octavian and Lucky as well. I am beginning to like Peanut as well. I would love to get one of their pictures!

There are personality types that every charachter can have, no matter what. They will all say generic things based on thier personalites

Angry
Lazy
Peppy
Prissy

certian animals have certian personalites by default.

Yep every town is different. Like all the bildings are in different places, different people live in every town, and the landscaping is different. It's cool

There are certian templates, you can't make a town that's COMPLETELY personal without the Map Editor, a tool you can get on the Action Replay cheating device, one of my friends made a town of nothing but islands!
